NEV policy (新エネルギー車政策）

Under China’s NEV policy, very tough sales quota for EVs and plug-in HEVs is expected to be introduced.

中国の新エネルギー車政策では、電気自動車とプラグインハイブリッド車の販売台数に非常に厳しいノルマが課されると予想されている。

※NEV = New Energy Vehicle, 新エネルギー車

※sales quota = 販売ノルマ

※EVs = electric vehicles, 電気自動車

※plug-in HEVs = プラグインハイブリッド

 

Glare-free high beam (防眩ハイビーム）

Glare-free high beam system adjusts intensity and angle of the headlight beam when sensor cameras detect oncoming traffic.
防眩ハイビームはセンサーカメラが対向車を検知するとヘッドライドビームの強さと角度を調節する。

※Glare-free high beam = 防眩ハイビーム

※oncoming traffic = 対向車

Rear-seat alert (後席置き去りアラート）

Rear-seat alert function reminds the driver to check the rear seats before exiting the car to prevent any passenger from being left behind.

後席警告機能はドライバーが車から出る前に注意を促すことで、後席への乗員の置き去りを防止する。

※remind the driver = 注意を促す

※be left behind= 置き去りにされる

Drowsiness alert system (居眠り警告）

Drowsiness alert system gives an audible alarm if the driver is drowsing when driving.

居眠り警告システムは運転中にドライバーが居眠りすると警告音を出す。

※audible alarm = 警告音

Range extender （レンジ・エクステンダー）

Range extenders recharge the batteries and make the driving distance of EVs longer.

レンジエクステンダーはバッテリーを充電して電気自動車の航続距離を伸ばす。

CASE (コネクティビティ、自動運転、カーシェア、電気自動車）

Mercedes-Benz puts strategic focus on CASE, which stands for Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric vehicles.

メルセデスベンツは略してCASEと呼ぶ、コネクティビティ、自動運転、カーシェアリング、電気自動車、に戦略的な焦点を当てている。

Level 3 autonomous cars can allow the driver to take their hands off the steering wheel during driving.

レベル3の自動運転車では運転中にドライバーがハンドルを握らなくてもよい。

IIHS （米国道路安全保険協会）

IIHS announced models that are evaluated as TSP and TSP+ this year

米国道路安全保険協会は今年のトップセーフティピック（最高安全評価）に評価した車種を発表した。

CAFE （企業平均燃費）

NHTSA decided to revisit the plan to increase the CAFE civil penalty from 2019MY.

ニッツァは平均燃費が基準を下回っているメーカーに課す罰金を2019年式から増額する計画の見直しを決めた。
